PRESS RELEASE OF THE EMBASSY CONCERNING RECENT MEASURES FOR PASSENGERS TRAVELLING TO TURKEY
1. As previously communicated,Covid-19 measures concerning individuals who will enter Turkey by air, land or sea border gates have been updated to be effective as of 1 June 2021. The measures communicated by the Embassy’s Press Release of 1June 2021 continue to remain in force. Accordingly, those who submit;
i) An official document certifying the complete dose of vaccination at least 14 days prior to the entry to Turkey and/or a proof of recovery from Covid-19 within the last 6 months starting from the 28th day of the first positive PCR test result, or
ii)A negative PCR test result taken in the last 72 hours prior to arrival or a negative rapid antigen test result taken in the last 48 hours prior to arrival,
will continue to be permitted to enter Turkey.
2. On the other hand,important updates which will start to apply as of 1 July 2021 are presented below:
- Taking into consideration the density at theborder gates during the summer season,Turkish citizens residing abroad and travelling Turkey for vacation, who are not able to submit the above-mentioned documents upon arrival must fill a form containing essential information including the location/address information in our country. This facility is exclusively applicable at the land and railway border gates located in Edirne and Kırklareli.
- Turkish citizens who will be permitted to enter Turkey under these conditions, will be quarantined according to the Covid-19 guide of the Ministry of Health at their destinations and the quarantine conditions will be terminated when the PCR test result to be performed is negative.
